International Space Station (ISS) is one of the greatest achievements in the history of man and technology. Space Agency of the United States, Russia, Europe, Japan and Canada have joined forces to achieve common goals in the name of science and technology. This event is a symbol of technological progress and evidence of human achievement through collaboration and teamwork.


On 2 November 2010, ISS marks 10 years of human occupation in space continuously. Since it was first launched on October 31, 2000 and docked on November 2, ISS has been visited by 196 people from eight different countries.

ISS can be seen from Earth with the naked eye, and is the largest man-made satellite ever orbited Earth.
