The origin of the samurai is the dynasty (family) Yamato, which is the strongest clan in Japan until the seventh century AD. The arrival of the fleet of Admiral Matthew Perry of the U.S. in 1853 that forced Japan open its doors to American trade , ending the isolation period of Japanese society that has lasted for 250 years . When the Tokugawa realized that could not unite and build Japan only with swords and rigid tradition , the power is transferred to the Meiji .
