In addition to calling as many companies and relevant contacts as possible to land your dream job, it is important that you are not shy in attending as many networking events as possible (especially if you are already in your new country). You just never know who will hold the key to your next great overseas job.venting a mistake, and more importantly, you’ve succeeded in preserving the team’s harmony and avoided hurt feelings.

Follow Up Your Job Application With A Phone Call

If you are applying for jobs via recruitment agencies in your target country, it is likely that they are also receiving 100+ applications from local very-well qualified applicants. To get a local recruitment agency to take you seriously, you need to call them to follow up your job application. You need to convey to them that you: understand and would be an asset to the local market; are either in the country and/or are able to go quickly to that country to start work; and in most cases, explain your salary expectations. If you fail to do this, it is highly likely that the local recruitment agency will think you are ”too much trouble” and not a feasible option for them – so your application will be conveniently filed at the bottom of the job application pile.

it all are some tips for those of you who would plan to seek employment abroad, now let's look at some tips on what to do when you are already working abroad.

One of the most important aspects of living abroad (or anywhere for that matter) is maintaining good health. The quality of health care and health care facilities vary considerably from country to country, although most western countries provide good to excellent health care for those who can afford to pay for private treatment. However, there's a stark contrast between public and private health facilities in many countries, even western countries, some of which have severely over-stretched and under‑funded public health services.

The provision of fully-equipped hospitals is rare in many countries (in some countries there's only one major general hospital in the capital city), and nursing care and post‑hospital assistance are well below what most westerners take for granted. Health facilities in remote areas, even in developed countries, are often inadequate, and if you have a serious accident or need emergency hospital treatment in some countries, you will need to be evacuated to the nearest major city or possibly even to another country.

Health

This includes the weather, culture and norms. Spend some time reading books about the history and the culture of your host city.  With this said, books can only take you so far when it comes to the experiences of moving abroad.  The Internet is your best bet for gaining various perspectives and the most up to date understanding of what it is like to live in your host country. There are many blogs available that are written by people like you who are moving or have moved abroad.  Reading their blogs is a good way to get the intricate details of life abroad that is often missed by reading books.

Go outside the confines of what you have come to view as your prison and really get to know the area. Find the local supermarket, local hangouts, local park and just people watch. The process of exploring and discovering how the locals live may re-ignite that excitement and exhilaration that comes with travel.

Be familiar with your new environment

Finance

Another important consideration when living abroad (even for brief periods) is finance, which includes everything from transferring and changing money to banking, mortgages and local taxes. If you're planning to invest in a property or business abroad financed with funds imported from another country, it's important to consider both the present and possible future exchange rates (don't be too optimistic!). On the other hand, if you live and work abroad and earn your income in the local currency, this may affect your financial commitments abroad (particularly if the local currency is devalued). Bear in mind that your income can be exposed to risks beyond your control when you live abroad, particularly regarding inflation and exchange rate fluctuations.

Safety

It's important to be aware of anything that's happening in a country where you're planning to live or work that could affect your personal safety, such as wars, riots, military coups, terrorism, kidnappings and general civil unrest, to name but a few. You also need to be aware of crime and drugs, health, women's issues, motoring problems, and how to deal with local officials and matters such as bribery and corruption, which is a way of life in some countries. If you have any problems concerning safety while abroad, you should contact your local consulate or embassy for advice. If you register with your local embassy they will contact you in times of serious civil unrest or wars and may assist you in returning home (if necessary)

Write emails, keep a blog, call people and Skype away. Staying connected with friends and family is what will keep you sane! You may be the only foreigner in person but at least you can talk with others who fluently speak the same language as you. You will realise that you are not completely alone!

 Stay connected

Local Friends.

Try to make friends with local residents when you move. Knowing some people, even if only superficially, will make the transition easier. It will also help you to become accepted, by showing that you want to be part of the country and community.

Mind your Money

Moving is always an expense, even when you’ve planned to do so on a budget. Managing your money during a move is critical. Consider the following: Will you keep a bank account in your home country and/or establish an account in a new country? If the former, determine whether you’ll be able to use your ATM/debit card abroad and what kinds of foreign transaction fees you might incur as a result.

If the latter, you’ll want to know what kinds of documentation and references you’ll need to open an account. You may also want to consider online money management tools, either as a primary or secondary means of managing your money. Paypal is one of the many online money management tools available that can facilitate living abroad  but there are many other checking, savings, and transfer services. also has online financial services, including savings and money market options.

ok. it is only a part of tips that I can share with you, as always, free ebook that you can download or read for free.
